Jon Helminiak , Executive Director of the Tunison Foundation, is part of a crew that flew the WWII C-47 Placid Lassie across the continent of Greenland on June 28, 2019. The aircraft left Preswick, Scotland, refueled in Reykjavik, Iceland, and then flew nonstop to Goose Bay, Canada. The Atlantic crossing took 2 days and 24 hours of flight time.
