This iconic waterway evokes images of pink granite, glacier-smoothed rocky shoreline, crystal clear blue waters, and windswept pines. It evokes feelings of peacefulness, solitude, and relaxation where one can truly experience nature in its purest form.
The channel stretches for 160 miles on the north side of Lake Huron’s Georgian Bay. It is remote and less travelled, the paddling is less protected, and the shoreline rugged and beautiful. The North Channel is an excellent choice for a kayaker with previous, big water experience. The closest airstrip in Elliott Bay.
